VIDEO: $1.5 Million LaFerrari Crashes on Streets of Hungary

Nov 5, 2015

This was the moment the driver of a LaFerrari, one of the most expensive cars in the world, crashed while cruising along a busy road.

The accident happened in the Hungarian capital Budapest on Saturday afternoon and was captured on video by a fellow driver who was driving just behind the rare motor.

Ferrari will only ever build 499 LaFerraris. How many LaFerraris it'll have to rebuild in the coming years, however, is quite another matter.

At least one.  Hit play on the video below to witness a driver of the 950bhp hyper-hybrid getting things very, very wrong on a city street.

Apparently deploying a burst of V12-plus-electric torque that exceeded either (a) the available grip or (b) his talent, the driver enjoys a brief meeting with our old friend 'snap oversteer' before thudding into a line of parked cars on the roadside.

The car can do 0-60 in under three seconds.  The driver, on the other hand - who had reportedly just drove the car off the lot - could not.

Check out these "post accident" photos.

You can almost hear the Top Gear guys narrating the video now...
