People who are populating EpicTimes and visiting EpicTimes and signing up for our E-Mails; do you realize you’re part of a movement? Do you understand that? You’re cool.
What, you knew you were cool already?
People who are “Worker Bees” – you and I – people who do it day in and day out, dot the i’s, cross the t’s, go to work, do what we’re supposed to do, do more than we are supposed to do, because that’s what we do. There’s a movement out there, people who are not waiting for the cavalry to ride to the rescue, people who are looking for new sources of information and inspiration.
EpicTimes is a Movement, it’s not a “website”, it’s just a place where you go and say “oh, I think I know what’s going on the news”. This is a Movement, you’re part of a Movement, you’re cool, we’re empowering the Moderate Middle America, the “New American Middle”, the people that eschew the political designations that say “I can’t like that because a Republican said it” or “I can’t like that because a Democrat said it”.
We’re not about the Left politically vs. the Right politically. We’re about what’s right vs. what’s wrong. That’s what it’s about.
Kudos to you, and thank you. Spread the word, help us. Help us to make this Movement grow each and every day. Because foundational fixes are the key to the future of this country and we’re the ones that have to get it done. We’re the ones that are going to show them how it’s done.
I’ll give you an example.
I was looking at this one article about 1 in 3 American adults are in debt collections. 77 million people have had their accounts put in collections.
That’s wrong, that’s wrong. Do you think the government is going to fix that? No.
So what do we have to do? We have to empower people. How do we empower people? We give them financial information, we give them tools they can use. You start earlier in life, and even if it’s late in life and you’ve made some mistakes and you’ve got some hiccups, a few blemishes out there, that can be fixed too.
It’s not over until it’s over. That’s the reality.
As long as we’re breathing, as long as we’re here and as screwed up as things can be domestically and internationally, every day when you wake up you have an option and you’re given a gift. The gift is that you woke up. The option is “good day or bad day”. Why would you make it a bad day? Make it a good day.
That’s part of the Movement of EpicTimes. That’s what we’re doing. That’s what you’re a part of. And that’s cool.
Because “middle, predictable, boring, repetitive America” has been treated that way. But without us, without us boring, predictable, repetitive “Worker Bees” there is no America.
The hard pull from the left and the hard pull from the right… that’s what screwing this country up. And that “you have to be a Democrat” or “you have to be a Republican”, “you have to vote this way” or “you have to vote that way”…it’s all a bunch of crap.
This has never been done before. There has never been a “go-to” place for people who want solutions to their problems today. Who want to be around like minded people who believe that our best days as a nation are still in front of us.
I don’t buy the garbage that “Oh it’s over….throw in the towel”. Yeah – America is a state of mind, I know we’re supposed to have borders but it really is a state of mind. We can be bent, we can be frayed at the edges, but we’ll never be broken.
Why? Because you’re here, and I’m here, and Brad’s here and Jose’s here. Because that’s what it is – we’re just locking elbows and saying “no more”.
No more of this BS. Stop already! Let’s get some stuff fixed. Let’s make today better than it was yesterday, let’s leave the campground a little nicer than the way we found it for the next generation and let’s just get it in gear. Let’s just do it.
It’s a Cher moment we need in this country. In the movie “Moonstruck” when she whacks him in the face and says “Snap out of it”. That’s what we need. We need to snap out of it.
Can we wait for John Kerry to fix the problems that we’re seeing in Israel? No! We waiting for Obama to fix the problems that we’re seeing…..
Well, there’s too many to list
But, No! Waiting for the next election to “fix the problems that have been exacerbated by the previous administration”? No!
Today. Now. Why not? If not us, who? If not now, when? How long we going to wait? Another 5 years, another 10 years?
Yeah, we’ve had an economic malaise since 2008. Yeah, things have been pretty crappy. Yeah, there are certain people that don’t have as much money as they did back in 2008. Yeah, there are people that are behind on their bills, and they’re behind on their taxes. I got it.
But what are we going to do about it? Do we want to fix it? Or do we just want to bitch and complain about it?
